After the 88DB blogger meet last Saturday, I had a short conversation with an officemate regarding blogging in general. The question I asked him was this — what is the essence of blogging, if the blogger doesn’t give his or her own opinion?

Admit it, you’ve done a Google search on your name at least once or twice before. More often than not, a Friendster link or some random friend finder page would come up.
When I first started blogging a few months ago, I had no friggin’ idea what SEO was. I didn’t even know who Marc was and what he has done for the local SEO industry. Nevertheless, I was pretty sure SEO wasn’t = Google. I had no idea who The Rising Internet Star, Jozzua or Mr. Fool 45 were either. Almost a year hence, I have my own blog, and I’m enjoying every minute post of it. I know mababaw ako, but I’m glad this blog is finally #1 when I search my name.
