Father John Powell, a professor at Loyola University in Chicago writes about a student in his Theology of Faith class named Tommy…
Some twelve years ago, I stood watching my university students file into the classroom for our first session in the Theology of Faith. That was the day I first saw Tommy. My eyes and my mind both blinked. He was combing his long flaxen hair, which hung six inches below his shoulders. It was the first time I had ever seen a boy with hair that long. I guess it was just coming into fashion then. I know in my mind that it isn’t what’s on your head but what’s in it that counts; but on that day I was unprepared and my emotions flipped. I immediately filed Tommy under “S” for strange…very strange.

How would you feel if you see a dog in the street..mustering all his strength just so he can walk while dragging his impaired hind legs?
I dunno if you have to be a dog lover to feel what I felt awhile ago.

Wag mapikon sa banner haha patawa lang yan kk? GO DIABLOS!
Well, yeah, we lost again to the Green Vipers..pero mas masakit dahil it’s for the championship. It was almost a carbon copy of our 1st game with them, we controlled (sort of) the the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the game. Then sa 4th quarter, ayun, we choked again LOL. This time, we were just flat out terrible at the free throw line. We could have won the game if we made at least 50% of our free throws.
It was my first time to be in a championship game. Ganun pala ang feeling pag natalo on a big stage. Aray e haha. On the bright side, it motivates me to improve my overall game so I can help the team more next time we compete again. Then again, it’s easier said than done.
