Family Reunions: Part 1

I decided not to come to a wedding because of our family reunion. As of this moment, I still don’t know whether the family reunion’s going to be on tonight or tomorrow, or even in the first week of January, because the folks from my father’s side of the family haven’t replied yet. I know for one that they’re trying to schedule it for tonight, and I hope that it would be pushed through, just to get over it.

Paying a Visit

It hurts to admit that I have been distant and taciturn for most of the time.
My mother, father and I paid a visit this afternoon to a hospital. One of my aunts was sick. She was confined in the hospital for quite sometime, due to urinary tract infection. Turns out that she didn’t have only that complication, but as well as another illness, which is still yet to be known.
I am not a person who is really close with her family members. The only persons whom I am close with are practically my lola and my tita from my mother’s side, and of course, my mother and my father. I was brought up with my grandmother at a very young age, and my folks just drop by my grandmother’s house to check whether I’m doing fine.
