Goodbye Robinsons Galleria Summit Media Office

Posted on June 2nd, 2008 in Before and After | No Comments »

My first interview at Summit was way back in ‘03 when they were still in Pioneer. If there’s one thing sadder than leaving your former office, it’s realizing you need just one more look at it before they start tearing everything down. It was almost 5PM when a former officemate told me they were almost done packing.
Here’s how the office looked last Friday. *sniff*

If you’ve never been inside the Galleria Summit office, you should know there weren’t any windows. Regardless if the sky was falling Galleria ceilings were leaking, natural calamities were not enough to postpone photoshoots. Even if smoke from the […]

Kobe Bryant jumps over an Aston Martin in Hyperdunks

Jamario did it. So did Bosh (this was lame by the way). The only difference is, those two only used the wonders of viral marketing to promote themselves. Kobe Bryant is using it to promote his newest kicks in this video.
The question is - is the video fake or not?
There is no doubt in my mind that the guy can do it. I just don’t think he would risk being labeled as the baller who won the MVP award but had a stupid career ending publicity stunt in the same year. Anyways, aside from Ronnie Turiaf’s bad acting, you can spot the giveaway at 00:34. The shadows are clearly not aligned.

Shining Star by Get Far

Just can’t get enough of this song right now. Seeing the video however, brought the excitement level down a notch.
This other version, though sung by a mainstream local artist, is a pretty good effort IMO.

Has it been 10 years since ‘98?

I’ve said it time and time again and without bias — if and and when I have a kid, I don’t care where he goes to grade school or college, as long as his high school years are spent in the Ateneo. Without malice (pwera lang kung si Roset - sorry guys, inside joke) it’s where and when almost everything is done for the very first time.
