That’s utterly disgusting considering how many people have held on to it, but I’m 100% sure that the guys aren’t complaining.

I’d like to think I had a happy childhood. Do you remember how it used to be when you weren’t obliged to get a job, but still had the privilege of choosing a toy or gadget for your birthday? Damn, I certainly miss those times.
On my 17th birthday, no one knew except me that a new Playstation was going to be the newest member of the family. When he found out, even my dad wasn’t the least bit surprised by the demand request, as videogames had already become a big part of my childhood. The same can be said of the people in the office. You wouldn’t even have any difficulty figuring out where everyone’s 13th month pay went.

I decided not to come to a wedding because of our family reunion. As of this moment, I still don’t know whether the family reunion’s going to be on tonight or tomorrow, or even in the first week of January, because the folks from my father’s side of the family haven’t replied yet. I know for one that they’re trying to schedule it for tonight, and I hope that it would be pushed through, just to get over it.
Ah, family reunions.
I was never good with family reunions. Being a recluse for about 23 years, I rarely spoke with other family members other than those whom I see everyday. I was brought up in my grandmother’s care, and up to now, that is still the same case. Sometimes, I think that living with family members can be a little bit dragging, because they treat me as if I am a 5th […]

It has been a while since I haven’t posted a thing in this blog. You see, I have a difficulty in maintaining two blogs at the same time. Since I have a perpetual case of writer’s block, writing numerous accounts of the things going on around me can be really grueling.
So far, I have imported all of the posts that I have from my original blog (just check out the posts). You will be rest assured that I will still be maintaining the more public blog (that is, the one in blogspot) and I’ll just have this blog in a more personal (but still private) level. I have provided a link of this site in my blogspot account, but I don’t think that my students or any of the people who has been stalking me for some time will check this. I guess it’s for the better.
As I have mentioned […]

f there’s one thing you can be sure about in the fast paced world of media, it’s that news travels fast. In this case, sponsorships are direly needed. Make no mistake about it, the organizers won’t have trouble finding any when it comes to these two.

I have taken a break from checking the piles of book reports which have accumulated for my Christmas vacation. I planned to take it with me during the retreat, but it just seem that I do not have the guts to carry it all with me and check them during the sessions.
So here I am, checking the book reports plus the theater critique while my nose is still stuffy and I have this terrible cough which makes my breathing quite difficult. WHAT A BLAST.No matter how daunting it may be, I enjoy reading book reports. For a normal student, the necessity of a book report may seem very illogical, but actually, to an educator, it’s probably one of the most indispensable ways to judge how much a student has learned in an English or Filipino class - well, that is, if the student is honest enough if he has done […]

At least my Christmas went slightly different than how it went last year.
As I have said, I always spend Christmas just like any ordinary day. I didn’t receive any presents at all. Maybe I have come to the time and age (mind you) that I should be the one who would give gifts and spread cheers to other people. My Christmas stocking has been empty for quite sometime (ever since I was in high school, if I can remember well), and yes, I gave gifts for my family.
One of my best friends, Kurei-ru, dropped by today, and we contemplated mainly about one person that we knew when we were still in high school years.
Lizdelyn Star Ibañez. (1985? - 2007) - Yes, I know. The photo’s blurry.
Star, as she was fondly called, was one of those who were pushed around (come on, let’s face it) during our high school years. She […]

Yes, it’s written in all caps.
It’s my second year as a high school teacher in *toot*, and so far, things have been going fine. My tolerance level when it comes to withstanding the kids and their overly hyper nature is still in tact, and it has gone to the point wherein I am already numb. Somehow, I tend to show that I barely care about things, and I don’t like that to happen. I still like to care about what they’re doing, but several circumstances make me feel like I shouldn’t.
Last year, our section held a Christmas party, and the other section didn’t. Some of the kids in the other section dropped by in our room to join in, and it was fine. Christmas party last year was fun.
This year, we decided to hold a Christmas party in both sections. We only have one Christmas party to join in, and […]
